CC OAKLRNO
8810197TWP CON--1
TECHNICAL WORK PLAN
ENVIRONMENTAL SIVE ASSESSMENT AT
INDY ELECTRONICS, INC. , PROPERTY
Manteca, California
Indy Electronics, Inc. is a semiconductor industry manufacturing company
located at 400 Industrial Park Drive in Manteca, California. Manufacturing
activities at the plant include tiro electroplating and solder dipping for
plastic and ceramic integrated circuit devices.
The site is approximately 11-1/2 acres located between Industrial Park
Drive and Vanderbilt Circle in the Manteca Industrial Park. About 8 acres
are developed with Indy Electronics plant buildings and paved parking
areas, and about 3-1/2 acres are undeveloped land at the east side of the
site.
Existing plant buildings include a 150-by-460 foot main plant manufacturing
building, a 70-by-120 foot tool and die building, a 25-by-50 foot chemical
warehouse and a 30-by-15 foot storage building. These buildings were
constructed about 1980.
The geologic region is underlain by deep alluvial soils with ground water
at shallow depths. The ground-water table at the site is believed to be at
a depth less than about 30 feet. An 1,800 gallon--per-minute municipal
water supply well (Well No. 13) is located adjacent to the south side of
the site. for this property, WCC proposes to perform an Environmental
Assessment using information to be obtained from a limited program of soil
borings, ground-water monitoring well installations and surface soil
sampling, including chemical analyses of soil and ground-water samples.
