Proposal for Groundwater Testing
+ Preston Pipelines-Delta Water Intake Project
January 12,2010
Reporting and Scheduling: Upon completion of field activities, a report documenting the
work will be submitted. The report will include a detailed description of the field activities
and a brief summary of the analytical data. It will be signed by a California Professional
Geologist.
Fieldwork will be scheduled upon your approval of this workplan. Drilling is expected to be
completed in less than one day. The laboratory will generate the analytical reports within 15
days of the sample submittal, and the report will follow within a week of receiving the
analytical results.
WGR proposes a total project costif whict41101fts for the laboratory and soil boring
costs.) Should the WET samples sow` toxicity, it may be desirable to perform a Toxicant
Identification Evaluation (TIE) to identify the cause of the toxicity as was done for the CDM
groundwater investigation of the pipeline portion of this project. The addition of a TIE could
increase the total costs by $3,000 to $10,000 depending on what manipulations are needed by the
toxicity testing laboratory to identify the toxicant.
If you have any questions, please contact Chris Strong, PG, at(209) 334-5363 ext. 206 or me at(209)
334-5363 ext. 202.
Sincerely,
WGR Southwest,Inc.
7
John M.
