LK E/NFELOER
➢^'➢M1t✓eWle.Rl➢hlbMkn,.
ATTACHMENT A
SCOPE OF WORK
PIEZOMETER INSTALLATION
DELTA WATER SUPPLY PIPELINE PROJECT
H & H MARINA
EMPIRE TRACT, CALIFORNIA
File No. 87057.E01
June11, 2010
INTRODUCTION
Kleinfelder is pleased to present this work plan for the installation of 6 piezometers as part
of the Delta Water Supply Pipeline project, near the H & H Marina, Empire Tract,
California. If a portion of this work plan does not meet the needs of CDM or the San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD), or if those needs have
changed, Kleinfelder will consider appropriate modifications, subject to the standards of
care to which we adhere as professionals.
BACKGROUND
Kleinfelder understands dewatering operations will be conducted as part of this project
in proximity to a known petroleum groundwater contaminant plume at the H&H Marina.
CDM has proposed mitigating potential migration of a contaminant plume during
dewatering. The proposed piezometers will be installed into a shallow and deeper
groundwater zone to enable monitoring of groundwater elevations and the effectiveness
of the mitigation efforts.
CDM has provided specifications for the installation of the six proposed piezometers.
The following scope of work is generally based on those specifications and typical EHD
well standards/requirements.
PROPOSED SERVICES
Task 1 — Pre-Field Activities
As part of the permitting process, Kleinfelder will submit this work plan, a health and
safety plan and completed permit application and fees to EHD. Kleinfelder will arrange
and schedule drilling subcontractors to perform the piezometer installation and
abandonment activities. The work area will be marked in white paint and Underground
Service Alert (USA)will be notified at least 48 hours prior to conducting field activities.
87057.EMST0101-063 Page 1 of 4 June 11, 2010
Copyright 2010 Kleinfelder
