Tuff Boy Sales, Inc.
3870 W.Yosemite Ave.
Lathrop, CA 95330
December 14, 2015
Manteca Lathrop Rural Fire District
800 E.J St.
Lathrop, CA 95330
Attn: Chief Gene Neely or Asst. Fire Marshal Steve Pickerell
RE: Memorandum of understanding/Fire Suppression Plan for Tuff Boy Sales, Inc. @ 3870 W.Yosemite
Ave.
Dear Fire Chief Neely and Asst. Fire Marshal Pickerell
Tuff Boy Sales, Inc. has installed new Fire Suppression measures at the above referenced location. These
measures include:
1. Storage of tires inside of four groupings of 48' storage vans. The groups of vans are separated by
a minimum of 40' and have only noncombustible material stored in between the trailer
groupings. There is a 5' access walkway surrounding the van groups. The van groups are a
minimum 10'from the property line.
2. A 10,000 gallon reserve water tank has been installed near the property line along Guthmiller
Road. The tank is equipped with a 2%2' male fire hose connection and a 4' male fire hose
connection.
3. An additional water access line has been provided at the front of the Tuff Boy Sales, Inc. office.
This line is a 2" line and is capable of delivering 115 gallons per minute. The line is terminated
with a 2% male fire hose fitting.
I trust these changes match the recommendations we discussed in our June 2015 meeting. Asst. Fire
Marshal Pickerell has visited our site to walk through the changes and made suggestions regarding
signage that may assist in the event of an emergency. Those signage additions are now installed.
Tuff Boy further understands that the MLRFD may access the water tank at any time for any nearby
emergency.
Kindly acknowledge the receipt of this MOU. I will keep it on file in the event a San Joaquin County Solid
Waste inspector should request to view it.
Thanks for your attention to this matter.
Vre
l
=
Fire Sup essi n Plan MOU submitted to MLRFD Fire uppression Plan MOU acknowledged by MLRFD
Bryce Perkins MLRFD Chief Gene Neely
