Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #39 Thermometers Provided/Accurate/Easily Visible <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Probe thermometer is not accurate. Provide accurate thermometer in 3 days. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:An accurate easily readable metal probe thermometer suitable for measuring temperature of food shall be <br /> available to the food handler. A thermometer+/-2#F shall be provided for each hot and cold holding unit of potentially hazardous foods <br /> and high temperature warewashing machines. No reported illness by employees who are consuming food cooked in facility. <br /> Hand wash station is accessible and fully supplied by soap and paper towels from dispensers. Gloves are available and <br /> employees are washing hands between tasks. No chemicals stored by the food prep and food storage areas. I observed <br /> frozen chicken thawed under running water(proper thawing procedure). By asking about the cooling method, after preparing <br /> Cole slaw and potatoes salad, they divided into small portions then they store them in the cooler. Sanitizer bucket is set up <br /> with chlorine 100 ppm.
