RCRA LQ HW Generator Inspection <br /> December 5, 2018 <br /> STATEMENT OF CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> RCRA LQ HW Generator Inspection Report Item #111 - Contiagency plan not current <br /> The contingency listed John Walker as an emergency coordinator. Per Paul Bruss, <br /> John Walker is no longer working at the site. The contingency plan shall be reviewed <br /> and immediately amended, if necessary, whenever: <br /> - applicable regulations are revised; <br /> - the plan fails in an emergency; <br /> - facility changes in design, construction, operation, maintenance, or other <br /> circumstances that increases the potential for fires, explosions, releases of <br /> hazardous waste, or changes the response necessary in an emergency, <br /> - the list of emergency coordinators changes; or <br /> - the list of emergency equipment changes. <br /> Immediately amend the contingency plan and submit a copy to the EHD for review. <br /> The Hazardous Materials Business Plan in CERS is currently undergoing the <br /> annual review and update and will be completed by January 15, 2019. Contact <br /> information will be updated to reflect current terminal personnel. <br /> RCRA LQ HW Generator Inspection Report Item #601 - Stored hazardous waste on site <br /> longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization m <br /> -One black metal 15-gallon drum of used oil was observed in the warehouse with an <br /> accumulation start date of 6/20/18. <br /> -One black metal 55-gallon drum of oily absorbent was observed in the warehouse with <br /> an accumulation start date of 5/24/18. <br /> Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store <br /> waste on site up to 90 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to <br /> dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br /> The observed 15- and 55-gallon drums have been transported to a TSDF. <br /> Attached are the manifests for these drums. <br /> RCRA LQ HW Generator Inspection Report Item #605 - Failed to completely label <br /> containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste <br /> One red metal step can for oily rags was observed without a hazardous waste label. <br /> Oily rags are being disposed of as hazardous waste per Paul Bruss, Lead Terminal <br /> Operator. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following <br /> information: <br /> - the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> - composition (contents) <br />
