• ENCON Environmental <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br /> Field Investigation <br /> • A full access push probe rig with a licensed operator will be mobilized to the site to complete the <br /> proposed scope of drilling and sampling activities.All down-hole sampling equipment will be cleaned <br /> before starting a soil boring,with a non-phosphate detergent and water before each use. <br /> • ENCON will backfill each boring with a bentonite slurry or approved method of backfilling per the San <br /> Joaquin County requirements. Each borehole will be abandoned/filled with bentonite,and restored to <br /> pre-drilling condition via applying patching materials. <br /> • Collect soil samples at 5-foot intervals,or at significant changes in lithology. <br /> • Monitor the headspace of each sample for the presence of volatile organic compounds using a photo- <br /> ionization detector(PID) or flame-ionization detector(FID). <br /> • The soil boring will be logged using the Unified Soils Classification System under the superyision of <br /> ENCON's State Professional Geologist(PG)or Registered Professional Engineer. <br /> • The following laboratory analysis will be conducted on soil samples: 8 samples for TPH as diesel and <br /> gasoline and BTEX/MTBE using EPA Methods 8015/8260B;4 samples for TPH as oil,diesel,and <br /> gasoline,VOCs,and Title 22 metals using EPA Methods 8015, 8260B, and 6000/7000 series. <br /> • Soil and water wastes are not expected based on the drilling method;however,should waste cuttings <br /> be generated,they will be placed in proper containers(steel drums). <br /> Data Evaluation&Reporting <br /> • Prepare a report to document the methods used and present the results of our investigation.Based on <br /> the results,present our conclusions and provide recommendations for further investigation and/or <br /> remediation. <br /> • Report shall be prepared by State Professional Geologist <br /> • Report shall contain boring log,site plot plan,site location map,regional hydrogeology,laboratory <br /> reports&chain of custody. <br /> Project Management <br /> • Includes project scheduling,subcontractor coordination,laboratory work order and client <br /> correspondence. <br /> Proposed Work Schedule <br /> Schedule: Pre-drilling activity/permit 1 Week <br /> Drilling/Sampling activity I Day <br /> Laboratory Analysis 7 Days <br /> Final report 3 days after lab analysis report <br />
