Lodi Ready Mix
Report-Soil Boring Insta] on
Project No. 93.1
Aug-ust 2, 1993
j Page 7
excavation. Confirmation samples tested from -
p SB I show that the sediments
below the depth of 25 feet at this location are-free of detectable petroleum
hydrocarbons. This depth is where a soil sample collected from the bottom of
the remedial re-excavation (RE-BS-25 feet) which tested positive for
petroleum hydrocarbons.
The depth --
p to groundwater at this site (approximately - feet- see attached
Figure 3 Water Level Map) suggest that any remaining hydrocarbons above 25
feet should not pose a threat to groundwater. An approximate 30 foot buffer
may exist between the last detectable contamination in the excavation and the
water table.
Geological Technics Inc. concludes that evidence gathered during this
investigation suggest that groundwater study is not warranted.
Therefore, Geological Technics Inc. recommends that no further action take
place and that this site be considered for closure.
f -
