Lodi, California, just to the east of <br /> "< Highway 99; (refer to Plate I. ) The area is dedicated primarily <br /> e to commercial, industrial, & light manufacturing use; the nearest <br /> c. residences are across Cherokee Lane, approximately 1/4 mile to <br /> the west. There is considerable undeveloped land to the south <br /> Fy' and east of the property. <br /> The site is approximately 1 1/2 miles south of the Mokelumne <br /> River, which has its source in Comanche Reservoir, and merges <br /> F with the Consumnes river n the vicinity of Walnut Grove. The <br /> area is at the eastern end of the Central Valley, with westward <br /> s drainage at a gradient of less than 10 feet per mile. <br /> SOIL TYPE: The predominant soil type is the area is Hanford sandy. <br /> loam, a neutral PH snail of granitic origin, derived from recent } <br /> _? alluvial fans or flood plain deposits. It has an undeveloped <br /> profile, and is generally underlain by unconsolidikted material. <br /> ? Plate VI, from "Soils of San Joaquin County, California" by <br /> Walter W.
