Lodi Ave., Lodi, CA
5. Laboratory that will collect soil samples: SGL
A signed "Release of Information Authorization" in attached.
6. Remediation Steps: At this time we propose to re-excavate an area 5 feet
on the east and west sides starting from the middle of the excavation, south
to a point 5 feet past the end of the former pump island, a distance of 25
feet. The excavation will then be 25 feet wide and 25 feet long. We propose
to excavate to a depth of 22 feet. Hopefully this will remove all of the
conta, nination. Soil samples can be taken from the sidewalls and bottoin at the
i
completion of the excavation. four (4) sidewall samples will be taken at a
depth of 20 feet. Four (4) additional samples will be taken at a depth of
15 feet, but only analyzed if bottom sidewall samples show contamination. One
(1) sample from each wall. Two (2) bottom samples will be taken at the
I direction of San Joaquin Local Health District Representative. All excavated
soil can be stacked on site at the north end of the property. All soil will .
i
be placed on plastic and covered with same until sampling is done and remediation
or other avenues are discussed and the best solution determined. Diagrams
attached show existing and proposed excavation and sample locations. Plot plan
and proposed spoils pile location.
7. Timing: Re-excavation/Resample could be scheduled within two to three weeks
following review and approval of this work plan.
