Geo(ogica(Technics Inc.
2601 TiverApad
Modesto,California 95351
(209)538-6424/Ya,#538.5852
May 12, 1995 Cr
Mr. Robert Klein
E.F. Mitchler Company
400 South Lincoln
Stockton, California 95203
RE: Site Closure Report
Lodi Ready Mix and Building Materials, 851 East Lodi Avenue, Lodi
San Joaquin County Site Code 1359
Dear Mr. Klein:
Geological Technics Inc. is pleased to submit the attached Site Closure Report
' which summarizes the UST removal, site investigation, subsequent remedial
action, and confirmation testing performed at the 851 E. Lodi Avenue facility
in Lodi. Based on the available information provided by Lodi Ready Mix and
the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Department of
Environmental Health (PHS/EHD) it appears that petroleum hydrocarbons
sourced from the suspected former leaking UST and associated piping had
' once impacted the shallow subsurface.
The remedial excavation centered around the former UST and pump island
' locations appears to have addressed those impacted soils. A confirmation soil
boring was drilled at a location specified by the PHS/EHD and no detectable
concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons were found. Therefore Geological
' Technics Inc. concludes that the remedial excavation was effective in
reducing this site's potential for further impacting the environment.
., Respectfully Sub itt d,
' GEOLOGICAL TECHNICS INC
Raynold I.
