' Service Area <br /> The service area is the site of the majority of service operations for the dealership. All the <br /> service bays were active during the time of the site walk. The following items were noted in <br /> ' this area: <br /> Four active hydraulic lifts were noted in this area. <br /> Three aboveground storage tanks were noted in the waste oil storage room <br /> including; one 500-gallon tank to store waste oil, one 350-gallon tank to store oil, <br /> and one 150-gallon tank to store waste transmission fluid. The room also <br /> ' contained an approximately 33-gallon parts rinse and bath basin. <br /> Outside and situated in the southwest corner of the building is a 300-gallon plastic <br /> ' storage tank containing waste coolant (antifreeze). <br /> A floor drain was noted in the center of the service area. It reportedly empties <br /> into a vault at the southern end of the building. The site personnel questioned <br /> were not aware of any maintenance schedule associated with the floor drain. <br /> 1.4 Interviews <br /> Gerry Bush, general manager of Lee Galles Oldsmobile, was interviewed by telephone on <br /> 4/24/95 by Eric Terhorst of DEI. Mr. Bush was asked if he had an awareness of the need for <br /> a Hazardous Materials Business Plan. Mr. Bush stated that he was not aware if a Plan had been <br /> ' developed for the site. Mr. Terhorst outlined his inspection of the site, as well as his areas of <br /> concern. The minutes of this discussion are included in Appendix B. <br /> ' Dennis Kraut, the service manager was interviewed while conducting the site walk with Eric <br /> Terhorst on 4/13/95. Mr. Kraut stated that he had experienced no problems with the hydraulic <br /> lifts. He also stated that there were no USTs on the site, to his knowledge. No asbestos was <br /> ' present in the building or on the site, to his knowledge. He identified the aboveground tanks <br /> on the site, and revealed waste manifests and maintenance schedules. He identified the waste <br /> disposal vendors, and stated that he was not aware of the need for a Hazardous Waste Business <br /> ' Plan. <br /> Marion Pachaki was interviewed at Lee Galles Oldsmobile by Eric Terhorst on 4/13/95. She <br /> ' handles administrative and clerical work. She was not aware of the need for a Hazardous Waste <br /> Business Plan.
