1 LEVINE•FRICKE
i Site within the past 15 years have been made through air spray-
ing, using the firms D & D Flying of Stockton1 and -Ag Flight of
Lodi, and no chemicals have been stored, mixed or disposed of
I on site. i}
According to Mr. Tony DeLucca of D & D Flying, records for the
past three years indicate that the pesticdes,jFuradan, a carba-
mate insecticide, and Diazinon, an organophosphate insecticide,
have been aerially applied at the Site. According to County
Ilh Agricultural Commissioner records, which are maintained for a
five year period, Mr. Ripkin has applied for application of two
restricted pesticides at the Site over this period -- Furadan,
and 2,4-D, a chlorinated herbicide. The kirmlAg Flight .of Lodi,
California was listed on the application as. the applicator.
However, the Ripkin' Site is permitted for! application. of a
variety of other, restricted pesticides. !
lFuel Storage
i'
:I
Gasoline and diesel fuel have been storedlat the Site for use in
fueling farm machinery. Gasoline was reportedly formerly stored
in a 500-gallon underground tank located nearthe northwest cor-
ner of the Quonset but at the Site. The tank'Fwas reportedly
1 removed about two years ago, and no indication of significant
1 leakage was reportedly observed at the time of removal. Diesel
fuel is currently stored in two above-ground tanks located near
the southwest corner of the Quonset hut, ;one a 500--gallon capac-
ity tank, and the other a 1,000-gallon tank. j.A small stained
area of soil was observed beneath the spigot of the 500-gallon
tank during Levine•Fricke's site inspection.
No information was obtained from this the activities conducted as
part of this review to indicate other potential on--site sources
of hazardous chemicals that could significantly affect soil or
ground-water quality at the Site. li
8.2 Potential Off-Site Sources
Tsutsui Pro ert
ii
] Numerous 55-gallon drums and other containers'; abandoned vehicles
and equipment, and other refuse were observed-gat the adjacent
Tsutsui Property during Levine•Fricke's drive,,=by inspection of
the Site vicinity. Because of the apparent nature of activities
at this property, and the proximity of the property to the Site,
there is some potential that releases of chemicals could have
occurred at this property which may have impacted the Site.
No other potential off-site sources of hazardous chemicals were
identified which are deemed to be likely to affect soil or ground
water at the Site. ;3
' -11-
