Hunter & Associates
May 13, 1992
DETAILS OF SAMPLING OF SPOIL PILE PERFORMED MARCH 13, 1992:
Composite soil samples were taken as shown on Plate A in the fol-
lowing manner:
1. Spoil composite North - the plastic was removed from the
north end of the pile, and a hole was made about 3 feet deep into
the center of the pile. A clean, x 21/2" brass tube was
driven into the spoil in the hole, and filled with soil from
about 3 different spots within the excavation. The tube was
promptly sealed, labeled, and placed in the ice chest with the
other samples previously taken. There were no odors noted , or
any evidence of staining or comtamination during the sampling.
2. Spoil composite Middle - the same procedure was followed as
described above, using a clean brass tube. No evidence of odors
or contamination was noted.
7. Spoil composite South - again, the same procedure was used.
No odors or other evidence of staining was noted.
At the completion of the sampling, the pile was recovered with
the black plastic , which was anchored around the perimeter with
rocks or other similar objects.
PROPOSED DISPOSITION OF THE REMOVED SPOIL:
It is planned to spread the spoil to a depth of about c" over an
area to the north of its ' present location„ An existing double
wide mobile home presently occupies that area; it will be moved
1
