SHOP 10 MAINTENANCE STATION <br /> 1603 B STREET, STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA- <br /> CONTRACT.N0. 06A 1141 <br /> TASK ORDER NO. 94, EA NO.43-910076 <br /> WELL DESTRUCTION WORKPLAN' . <br /> Dear Mr. Fox: <br /> In accordance with the California Department of Transportation Contract No. 06A1141, Task Order <br /> No. 94, Geocon Consultants- Inc. has prepared this Workplan for well destruction activities'to be <br /> conducted at the Shop 10-Maintenance Station {the Site)' located at 1603 B Street in Stockton, <br /> California. This Workplan describes the. scope of services requested by. ,Caltrans and outlines <br /> procedures and methods to.be employed by Geocon to complete the well destruction activities. The <br /> site location is depicted on the Vicinity Map, Figure L <br /> BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE. <br /> Based on the results of remediation activities and soil, groundwater and soil vapor sampling performed <br /> at the Site, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health.Department (SJCEHD) indicated that the <br /> case is eligible for"No Further Action"regulatory.closure siatus.';In their correspondence dated March <br /> 16, 2010, they requested destruction of the site-related groundwater monitoring wells. A copy of the <br /> SJCEHD letter is attached. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The following scope of services will be provided under Task Order No. 94: <br /> Pre-field Activities <br /> • Prepare a project-specific health and -safety .plan '(HSP) to provide guidelines on the use of <br /> personal protective equipme_nt and the health and safety procedures"to be implemented during the <br /> proposed field activities.. <br /> Mark the proposed soil boring locations with white paint-as required .by law and provide a <br /> minimum of 4.8-hours notice to the local public utilities via Underground Service Alert(USA). <br /> • Obtain permits and pay requisite fees to the SJCEHD for the Hollow-stem auger (HSA) well <br /> destruction activities. <br /> • 'Retain the services of Gregg Drilling, a Caltrans-approved, C57-licensed drilling company to <br /> .perform the well destruction activities. <br /> 3160 Gold Valley Drive,Suite 800 ■ Rancho Cordova,California.95.742 ■ Telephone (916) 852-9118 -■ fax (9161852-9132 <br /> 4 <br />
