A10/71-51-1c
High levels of gasoline-derived contaminants are found in SB17 at 40 and 45 feet below
grade At this location, gasoline-derived contaminants range from non-detectable
1 to low levels above 40 feet and high levels below 45 feet
Diesel contamination was found only in two samples Diesel was found at a high level of
1,800 mg/kg at 1 5 feet below grade in S131 Diesel was detected at a low levelof 5 3
mg/kg at 40 feet below grade in MW13
1 No halogenated volatile organics were detected in all sod samples tested
Sod samples in locations SB22 and SB23 were tested for total chromium SB22 and SB23
are within the area of the former waste oil tank Results for all samples tested are lower
than the Total Threshold Limit Concentrations (TTLC) of 2,500 mg/kg and 500 mg/kg for
Cr(111) and Cr (IV), respectively (see Table 12, Appendix D) All results are also lower than
ten tames the Soluble Threshold Limit Concentrations (STLC) of Cr(III) and Cr(VI) which
are 5,600 mg/kg and 50 mg/kg, respectively Hence, the Waste Extraction Test was not
performed on these samples No polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were found in sal
samples from SB22 (see Table 12, Appendix C) No gasoline-derived contaminants were
found in sample from SB22 A low level (18 mg/kg) of total petroleum hydrocarbons was
found at the depth of 35 feet in SB22 (see Table 12, Appendix C)
5 2 2 Groundwater
Table 8 (See Appendix C) summarizes the results of the analyses of groundwater
samples In general, non-detectable to low levels of gasoline-derived contaminants (e g ,
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes) were found at the following
groundwater monitoring wells MW7, MW12, MW14, MW16, MW19, MW20 and MW24
Gasoline-derived contaminants exceeding water quality goals (see Table 8, Appendix C)
are found in monitoring wells MW10, MW11 for the wells located in Shop 10 Appendix
J presents Figures 26, 27, and 28 which show zero concentration maps for benzene,
toluene and xylenes respectively, for the groundwater at Shop 10
A low level of chloroform at 11 u L was detected only see Table 8, Appendix
9/ Y in MW19 PP
C) This result is isolated
17
