7 Groundwater samples were delivered to the State-certified hazardous waste ' laboratory within approximately 48-hours of collection 8 Purged water was contained in a DOT approved 55-gallon drums The drums were labeled with the contents, date, well number, client name, and project number The groundwater monitoring purge logs are presented in Appendix A 3 3 LABORATORY ANALYSIS AND RESULTS Fourteen groundwater samples were submitted for analyses to GEOTEST of Long ' Beach, California, a State of California-certified hazardous waste analytical laboratory The samples were analyzed for the following ' o EPA 8015 modified - Total petroleum hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G), EPA 8015 modified - Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TPH-D), ' 0 EPA 8020 - Aromatic volatile compounds benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), Additionally, the groundwater sample with the highest MTBE concentration during the previous quarter was analyzed by EPA Method 8260 for volatile organics to confirm the EPA Method 8020 MTBE results Both the EPA Method 8260 and 8020 analyses were not detected for MTBE A summary of the laboratory results for groundwater samples is presented in Table 1 A ' copy of the laboratory reports and chain-of-custody records are presented in Appendix B The following are the results of the groundwater sampling ' © All of the groundwater samples analyzed for TPH-D were not detected Due to field error, a number of the groundwater samples were not analyzed for TPH-D All of the wells will be sampled for TPH-D in the third quarter sampling event ' o TPH-G concentrations were detected in five of the fourteen groundwater samples (MW-13, MW-14, VW-1, VM-1, and VM-2) Detectable concentrations ranged from ' 1,700 to 64,000 micrograms per liter (ug/1) The concentrations have typically decreased since the previous quarters sampling event 1 3 ' FTransfer\Report\CALTRAN=aIty0971710175gm287fin
