i
J
1604 B Street
Page 2
i
As a part of reporting requirement's, PHS/EHD requested that an inventory of stored and already
disposed soil cuttings and purge/development water be prepared. Thank you for information that
the contaminated water was discharged to the City of Stockton's sanitary sewer system and the
contaminated soil disposed at the TPS Technologies Incorporated Soil Recycling Facility in
Richmond CA. Disposal documentation should be submitted with summary reports.
ti
In summary, the lateral extent of groundwater contamination appears to have been defined on site
with wells MW10, MW11 and MW12. Additional groundwater monitoring will be required prior to
implementing further lateral groundwater investigation. PHS/EHD requested a vertical groundwater
investigation which has not been initiated. A work plan to perform field testing of remedial soil and
groundwater remediation alternatives should be submitted by September 15, 1996 that includes the
results of third quarter groundwater monitoring and which considers PHS/EHD's request for a
vertical groundwater investigation.
Please note that PHS/EHD must be contacted prior to any site activity. If you have any questions,
please contact me at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Mary Meays TS Se"Nor REHS Margare Lagorio, RE
Site Mitigation Unit Lead Senior
MM/1604B
i
cc: Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB
cc: Saiyed Ali, CalTrans
cc: Rick Walls, GEOCON
i
i
