The UST system,consisting of
two fuel USTs and two pumps islands were removed from the site in 1989. One backup diesel generator UST was also
removed in 1993.
• i
Soil and groundwater investigations.were conducted from 1992. to 2013. It was estimated that approximately 100
gallons of fuel contaminants impacted the subsurface of the site. Gasoline and diesel hydrocarbons were detected in on-
site soil and groundwater. Active remediation of soil and groundwater was not conducted during this period, but natural
attenuation and degradation of the contaminants has reduced and will continue to reduce the mass of the contaminants in
the subsurface. On the basis of groundwater monitoring and previous and current investigations, the SJCEHD concluded
that the Site status is protective of the environment and of human health for current and future Site use and for adjacent
off-site areas.
The SJCEHD is currently in process of submitting a Case Closure Summary to the Central Valley Regional Water
---- - Quality Control Board-(RWQCB) After conclusion of the public comment period and receipt of notificationsthat all—
closure
ll `closure activities have been completed, the SJCEHD intends to issue a No Further Action Required letter for the subject
Site.
WHERE TO GET MORE INFORMATION
Site information can be obtained from the GeoTracker website at http•//geotracker.waterboards.ca.gov/.
