I <br /> a i <br /> 3.0 SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION AND TROUBLESHOOTING <br /> 3.1 System Optimization and troubleshooting for SVETS <br /> This section provides guidance for operating the SVETS according to design criteria.. This section only <br /> addresses typical operational problems expected from the SVETS. Operational problems outside the <br /> scope of this section should be referred to the project engineer, the project manager,or the equipment <br /> manufacturer. <br /> i <br /> Problem: Sy tem off upon arrival to site. j <br /> Potential Solution: <br /> a. Try to determine why the system turned off by an inspection of oxidizer alarm lights. <br /> i <br /> Once the alarms have been cleared using appropriate "Reset" switches,restart the j <br /> SVETS. <br /> i <br /> Problem: System mill not nstart. <br /> i <br /> Potential Solutions: <br /> a. If the system was in an alarm condition, the control panel"Reset"switch must be <br /> pushed to clear alarms. <br /> I <br /> b. Verify that the"Emergency Stop"pushbutton on the control panel is in the"Out" <br /> position. <br /> C. Verify that the"Power On"lever (used to open the control panel door) is in the "On" <br /> position. <br /> d. Correct oxidizer start-up procedure was not performed. See Section 2.1, Initial SVETS <br /> Start-up Procedures. <br /> e. Check the oxidizer and vacuum blower breakers in the electrical panel breaker box and <br /> oxidizer control panel. Reset any tripped breakers. <br /> Problem: Correct indicating light not..ae6vated. <br /> Potential Solutions: <br /> a. Check the condition of light bulbs on the oxidizer control panel. Replace any defective <br /> lamps. <br /> . I <br /> Problem. Vacuum blower does not operate. <br /> Potential Solutions: <br /> a. Proper oxidizer start-up procedure was not performed. See Section 2.1,Initial SVETS <br /> Start-up Procedures. <br /> L. b. Check for tripped thermal overload,at blower motor,contactor.
