The approximate site location is on the
attached Vicinity. Map, Figure l: The scope of services included performing a sensitive receptor survey
(SRS) within a 2,000-foot radius of the Site,.determining residual total petroleum hydrocarbon(TPH)mass
estimates in soil and groundwater, and developing a Fate'and Transport Model of contaminants in
groundwater.
BACKGROUND
In a letter dated July 30,201.3; the.San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD)
requested performance of an SRS to confirm the location and status of a municipal well reportedly, located
within 500 feet south of the Site.(DWR Well ID No. 24096), an estimate of petroleum hydrocarbon mass
remaining in soil and groundwater, and fate and transport modeling to evaluate whether contaminants in
groundwater pose a threat to the referenced municipal well.
t SENSITIVE RECEPTOR SURVEY
In August 2013,we requested a well search from the California Department of Water Resources(DWR)to
assess the number and type of documented groundwater wells within 2,000 feet of the Site. Twenty wells
were identified within 2,000 feet of the Site.We'a96 performed a field reconnaissance within 500 feet of the
Site to .identify potential 'sensitive receptors..Excluding the.site-related monitoring wells, one well was
observed within 500 feet.of the Site. The observed well is located near the northeast corner of South B Street.
and 4t' Street. Based on the well log obtained from DWR, this-well is a municipal well (DWR Well ID
No. 24090) that is owned'by the California Water Service (CWS):The municipal well is located on the
second parcel east.of South B Street on the north side of 4*Street."As shown on the table below and depicted
on the Radius Map, Figure 2, the municipal well is located approximately 150 feet south of the Site's
southern boundary and approximately 700 feet south-southeast of the former LIST locations.
3160 Gold volley Drive,Suite 800 ■ Rancho Cordova,CA 95742-7515 ■ Telephone 916,852.91 IS ■ Fax 916.852.9132
• 1
