. 1 0
ACME TRUCKPARTS
EMERGENCY SPILL RESPONSE PLAN
Minor Spill
In the event of a minor spill of a hazardous material stored or used at this location, you are to do the following:
• Contain the spill by diking or capture with existing soil present in our yard. If any material contaminates any
personnel, they are to follow procedures from their training program.
® Cease all spark -producing activities on site and prevent others from producing any sparks. This includes smoking
and the starting of engines or machinery.
• Designate drum or container and have it appropriately disposed of during regular waste pick up.
® Notify your supervisor so adequate clean-up procedures can be implemented.
Major Spill
In the event of a major spill, (more than a few gallons or any time the material may leave the property) you are to do the
following:
• Shut off power to any machinery or spill area or main power shut off.
• Attempt to contain the spill by diking or soak up procedures. Also, attempt to stop the leak if possible.
• Call 911 to notify them, a release has occurred.
• Evacuate all personnel from neighboring businesses that may be in danger from an explosion or fire.
• Follow training procedures for personal contamination.
• Avoid all spark -producing operations and secure others from doing the same.
• Notify hazardous waste haulers to come immediately to pick up contaminates.
• Notify your supervisor for further instructions.
:I DI ta I I t I
The Company relies on the information contained in MSDS's as permitted by the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard
and does not perform independent hazard determinations. If anyone has questions about this plan, contact the Safety
Officer, Nathan Davidson at the Company.
