. 1 0 <br />ACME TRUCKPARTS <br />EMERGENCY SPILL RESPONSE PLAN <br />Minor Spill <br />In the event of a minor spill of a hazardous material stored or used at this location, you are to do the following: <br />• Contain the spill by diking or capture with existing soil present in our yard. If any material contaminates any <br />personnel, they are to follow procedures from their training program. <br />® Cease all spark -producing activities on site and prevent others from producing any sparks. This includes smoking <br />and the starting of engines or machinery. <br />• Designate drum or container and have it appropriately disposed of during regular waste pick up. <br />® Notify your supervisor so adequate clean-up procedures can be implemented. <br />Major Spill <br />In the event of a major spill, (more than a few gallons or any time the material may leave the property) you are to do the <br />following: <br />• Shut off power to any machinery or spill area or main power shut off. <br />• Attempt to contain the spill by diking or soak up procedures. Also, attempt to stop the leak if possible. <br />• Call 911 to notify them, a release has occurred. <br />• Evacuate all personnel from neighboring businesses that may be in danger from an explosion or fire. <br />• Follow training procedures for personal contamination. <br />• Avoid all spark -producing operations and secure others from doing the same. <br />• Notify hazardous waste haulers to come immediately to pick up contaminates. <br />• Notify your supervisor for further instructions. <br />:I DI ta I I t I <br />The Company relies on the information contained in MSDS's as permitted by the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard <br />and does not perform independent hazard determinations.
