Wilson Way, Stockton <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR -Notice to Comply) <br />ROUTINE HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATOR INSPECTION <br />"Inspection conducted on February 17, 2011. Report completed on February 18, 2011. Checklist left <br />on site at time of inspection. <br />Class 11 violations: (7, 20, 23, 45, 49, 60, 61, 62) <br />7. Metal fines generated from the band saw are being recycled as scrap metal without first determining <br />particle size or hazardous properties. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is <br />a hazardous waste. Immediately stop recycling metal fines, make a hazardous waste determination for <br />the band saw waste, and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Particles 100 <br />microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous waste if the metal is determined to be a hazardous <br />waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed by <br />March 20, 2011. <br />REPEAT VIOLATION <br />20. A 55 gallon black steel drum of used oil filters was observed labeled only with the contents. A 50 <br />gallon black steel container of used oil was observed marked "empty weekly" with no accumulation start <br />date. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties (flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br />4. physical state (liquid, solid) <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all <br />the required information. <br />REPEAT VIOLATION <br />23. A 55 gallon steel drum of used oil and fuel filters was observed labeled "hot drained oil filters" with no <br />accumulation start date. Used oil filters must be stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as <br />"drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately properly label and <br />mark the date of initial accumulation and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br />REPEAT VIOLATION <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE ($122). <br />THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />EHD Inspector: <br />Received By: <br />Title: <br />EHD 23-02-063 Rev 08/10/10 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
