Project No 58100-06-11A
June 29, 1995
reported by the Caltrans well survey dated October 27, 1993 A copy of the well elevation survey report
' is presented in Appendix C
3 2 5 Disposition of Development Water
' Well development water was placed in DOT 17-H 55-gallon drums and stored onsite pending the receipt
of analytical data and subsequent disposal following regulatory protocol
' 33 GROUNDWATER SAMPLING
3 3 1 Groundwater Level Measurement
1 Depth to groundwater measurements were obtained from all the monitoring wells prior to well purging
Groundwater depth measurements were obtained using a battery operated water level meter with
' measurements obtained from the top of each well casings
3 3 2 Well Purging
Prior to groundwater collection, a minimum of three well volumes of groundwater were purged to allow
fresh formation water to infiltrate the wells During purging, the pH, temperature, and electrical
conductivity of the groundwater was measured and the purging was considered adequate when these
parameters stabilized The groundwater parameters were recorded on the groundwater sample collection
logs presented in Appendix D
t3 3 3 Groundwater Sample Collection
Groundwater samples were collected utilizing disposable polyethylene bailers The samples were placed
in laboratory provided volatile organics analysis{VOA} vials and one-liter amber bottles, labeled, chilled,
and delivered to a California certified analytical laboratory, following standard chain-of-custody
procedures
3 3 4 Laboratory Analytical Methods
Groundwater samples were transported to Excelchem for testing for TPHg and TPHd following EPA Test
Method 8015 modified, and BTEX following EPA Test Method 8020
' 3 3 5 Disposition of Purge Water
Monitoring well purge water was placed in DOT 17-H 55-gallon drums and stored onsite pending the
' receipt of analytical data and subsequent disposal following regulatory protocol
7
