a <br /> 9.0 introduction <br /> On behalf of the California State Department of Transportation (Caltrans), IT Corporation (IT) <br /> has prepared this report to present the results of a groundwater investigation at the Stockton Yard <br /> Maintenance Station, in the city of Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is located at <br /> 1604 South B Street,dust south of Charter Way The property is an active maintenance yard and <br /> is owned by Caltrans <br /> The investigation was conducted by IT on February 13 and 14, 2002 This investigation was <br /> conducted at the request and authorization of Mr Saiyed All of Caltrans and in general <br /> accordance with Caltrans Contract 43AO078, Task Order No 10-OE7900-MH (Caltrans, 2001) <br /> 1.9 Project Description <br /> The site is an active maintenance yard and has been previously investigated Underground <br /> storage tanks (USTs) near the northwest portion of the property were removed Investigative <br /> borings indicate a product release into the soil and groundwater at the site Caltrans is <br /> investigating the groundwater below the removed USTs <br /> All work was conducted within Caltrans right-of-way <br /> 1.2 Project Objective <br /> The objective of this investigation was to evaluate the presence, concentration, and the vertical <br /> extent of petroleum products in groundwater at the site <br /> r <br /> N��t2ouzwr�.++�. sznsaa� 1-1 <br /> arzf,�n <br />
