I <br /> I <br /> 7 <br /> i <br /> 2.0 Scope of Work <br /> 1 The scope of work for the investigation was resented in IT's workplan dated January 21, 2002 <br /> p g P p az"Y <br />' which was approved for implementation by Caltrans (IT, 2001a) The following scope of work <br /> was conducted <br /> 1 Permitting and Mobilization <br /> 2 Preparation of Workplan and Health and Safety Plan (HSP) <br /> 3 Field Investigation <br /> 4 Laboratory Analyses <br /> 5 Investigation-Denved Waste Disposal <br /> 6 Site Investigation Report Preparation <br /> 2.1 Permitting and Mobilization <br /> A drilling permit was obtained from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> A standard Caltrans encroachment permit was obtained from the appropriate office prior to any <br /> work conducted at the site Underground Service Alert (USA) was notified of the subsurface <br /> investigation at least 48 hours prior to initiation of the investigation (USA Ticket No 42539) <br /> Martha Adams and Skye Hatten of IT and Saiyed Ali of Caltrans attended a pre-work site visit <br /> on January 22, 2002 Items discussed and reviewed during the meeting included the scope of <br /> work, the site visit checklist, and the project schedule A field reconnaissance of the project area <br /> was also conducted and the proposed boring location was marked for USA identification <br />' 2.2 Preparation of Workplan and HSP <br /> P <br /> A workplan was prepared that included the project objectives, scope of work, groundwater <br /> boring and sampling procedures, analytical methods and schedule The workplan was reviewed <br /> and approved by Caltrans prior to the fieldwork <br /> A site-specific HSP (IT, 2001b) was prepared for the site in general accordance with <br /> 29 CFR 1910 120 and Title 8, California Code of Regulations, Section 5192 The HSP included <br /> safety procedures for work to be performed at the site, chemical hazard information, site safety <br /> officers, and a preferred medical emergency location <br /> Inb—bon redm kvy IISACRFPYICOMMONLgwDPLM2ivRnPJa1e3WW772ae dx <br /> 41"2 2' <br />
