INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr. Steve Barsoom of Ensher, Alexander & Barsoom, Inc., <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared this Limited Site Assessment Work Plan for <br /> the property located at 14200 Bacon Island Road, Stockton, California. <br /> This work plan was prepared as required for the procurement of a soil boring permit and to satisfy <br /> requirements of the Underground Injection Control Programs (UIC) as administered by the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD). The requirements of the UIC <br /> program were outlined in the SJCEHD letter dated 04 May 2004. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The subject property, located at 14200 Bacon Island Road adjacent to Highway 4 outside the city <br /> limits of Stockton,California,the site is situated in an area of agricultural use. The subject property <br /> is a farm that is currently in operation, the septic system in question is not in operation and is not <br /> anticipated to be used in the future. <br /> 2.1. SEPTIC SYSTEM INSPECTION <br /> The SJCEHD identified the site as a clandestine drug laboratory where hazardous materials were <br /> possibly disposed into the septic system. On 02 April 2004, a sample of the contents of the septic <br /> tank was analyzed. The analytical results reported detections of hazardous materials and or wastes <br /> in the septic tank above water quality limits. SJCEHD has requested that further investigation of the <br /> septic system be performed to evaluate if there is a threat to drinking water by letter dated 04 May <br /> 2004. <br /> The site and therefore septic system had until recently been underwater as the result of the Delta <br /> flood, the septic tank and it's contents have been removed by the flood After completion of this <br /> sampling event and subsequent reporting the septic tank is to be abandoned under SJCEHD permit. <br /> 3.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> AGE proposes to collect a soil sample to determine if petroleum hydrocarbon and/or volatile organic <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted soil is present beneath the site. The preliminary site assessment will include <br /> the following tasks: <br /> Advanced GeoEnviroomeotal,Inc. <br />
