M. Scott Mansholt 2 - . 16 May 2008
_,yoth-Loading Station and A Offsite
NFA Request—Additional Information
• We were previously informed that the Hoffman Brothers Harvesting would continue
operating at that location; the owners also had indicated future plans to install additional
"concrete tilt-up structures" at their business facility;
• Considering that the current and future site use is commercial and/or industrial,
Chevron's representative should prepare an addendum to OEHHA's HRA findings that
are consistent with the actual and anticipated future use. The amendment should
evaluate site conditions/analytical results described in the former HRA and compare
those findings to the 2007 Environmental Screening Levels (ESLs)' using applicable
exposure soil screening levels for commercial/industrial and construction/trench worker
scenarios; and,
• A separate Human Health Screening Evaluation (HHSE) reflecting current site
conditions needs to be completed for the Lyoth Offsite parcel.
California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Francisco Bay Region, 2007. "Screening for Environmental
Concerns at Sites with Contaminated Soil and Groundwater,"November.
By 1 July 2008, please provide an HRA amendment for the Hoffman property, reflecting a
comparison of the former HRA findings using the applicable ESLs risk scenarios outlined
above.
By 1 September 2008, please provide the HHSE for the Lyoth Offsite property.
If you have any questions regarding the matters discussed above, please call Dean Hubbard
at (559) 445-5179.
SHELTON R.
