It is Chevron Environmental Management Company's <br /> (CEMC) understanding that you approved the revisions to the work plans for the subject sites. <br /> The following is a summary of the approved work plans as discussed during your telephone <br /> conversation. <br /> Former Mansfield Property <br /> You approved the proposed plan to perform four grab groundwater borings to characterize <br /> groundwater quality immediately downgradient of affected soil as shown on Figure 1 of the <br /> August 24, 2000 Geomatrix letter "Response to RWQCB Comments, Former Mansfield <br /> Property, Tracy, Califomia". Work will be performed as approved and described in the June 29, <br /> 2000 Geomatrix work plan "Grab Groundwater Sampling Work Plan, Former Mansfield <br /> Property, Byron Road, Tracy, California." <br /> Former Lyoth Loading Station <br /> You approved the proposed plan to perform two grab groundwater borings to evaluate the lateral <br /> extent of groundwater quality downgradient of monitoring wells MW-6 and MW-7 as shown on <br /> Figure 1 of the August 24, 2000 Geomatrix letter "Response to RWQCB Comments, Former <br /> Lyoth Loading Station , Tracy, California". Work will be performed as approved and described <br /> in the June 29, 2000 Geomatrix work plan "Grab Groundwater Sampling Work Plan, Former <br /> Lyoth Loading Station, 26501 Banta Road, Tracy, California." As you have discussed with Ms. <br /> Fourell, the need to install permanent monitoring wells downgradient of MW-6 and MW-7 will <br /> be determined after Chevron's review of the grab groundwater sample results. <br />
