The Site Investigation
Work Plan (March 29,2006) for this site was accepted by the RWQCB in a letter dated April 18,
2006. Access to the site was obtained on May 8,2008, and terminates on May 8,2009.
Due to the length of time that elapsed while obtaining site access,the 2006 work plan was reassessed
in light of Chevron's strategic direction for sites in the HPP-BTR Portfolio. The following
modifications are proposed:
• Soil and groundwater sampling will be performed in accordance with CTA guidelines (one
shallow sample,one sample at most-affected depth, one sample just above groundwater if no
affected soil is encountered,and one grab groundwater sample) instead of at 5-foot intervals
and at lithologic changes as indicated in the 2006 work plan;
• Two laterally distinct soil samples will be submitted for fuel-fingerprint analysis if affected
soil is encountered, and;
• One grab groundwater sample will be analyzed for General Minerals.
Chevron currently anticipates completion of field activities and reporting by the end of 2008.
