("Wood") is submitting this Well Destruction and Well <br /> Installation Permit Application to the County of San Joaquin for the destruction of five groundwater monitoring <br /> wells the installation a groundwater monitoring well, on behalf of Olin Corporation. <br /> Enclosed please find a permit application for the destruction of site groundwater monitoring wells MW-1, MW-3, <br /> MW-6, MW-7 and MW-16, and permit application for the installation of a new groundwater monitoring well, <br /> MW-17, adjacent to the railroad right-of-way North of the Site in Tracy, California. Work is contingent upon <br /> Wood fulfilling the requirements of an Access Agreement with Union Pacific Railroad. The well will be installed <br /> to a depth of approximately 50 feet below ground surface and completed at grade with a traffic-grade well box. <br /> Destruction and Installation activities are being conducted in support of a Well Decommissioning and <br /> Replacement Well Installation Work Plan, prepared by Wood and included with the permit applications. The <br /> work plan was approved by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. <br /> Included in this application are: <br /> 1. Well Destruction Permit Application <br /> 2. Well Installation Permit Application <br /> 3. Revised Well Decommissioning and Replacement Well Installation Work Plan <br /> 4. Tentative approval pending comments from Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> 'Wood'is a trading name for John Wood Group PLC and its subsidiaries <br />
