Case Narrative
Client: WSP USA Environment& Infrastructure Inc. Job ID: 580-125173-1
Project/Site: Olin -Tracy, CA
Job ID: 580-125173-1
Laboratory: Eurofins Seattle
Narrative
Job Narrative
580-125173-1
Comments
No additional comments.
Receipt
The samples were received on 3/25/2023 9:15 AM. Unless otherwise noted below, the samples arrived in good condition, and where
required, properly preserved and on ice. The temperature of the cooler at receipt was 0.10 C.
GC/MS VOA
Method 8260D:The following samples were diluted to bring the concentration of target analytes within the calibration range: MW-9
(580-125173-2), MW-10 (580-125173-3)and MW-12 (580-125173-5). Elevated reporting limits(RLs)are provided.
Method 8260D:The continuing calibration verification (CCV)associated with batch 580-421489 recovered above the upper control limit for
Carbon disulfide, lodomethane,Acetone, 1,1,2-Trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane and Methylene Chloride. The samples associated with this
CCV were non-detects for the affected analytes;therefore, the data have been reported. The associated samples are impacted: MW-5
(580-125173-1), MW-9(580-125173-2), MW-10(580-125173-3), MW-11 (580-125173-4), MW-12(580-125173-5), MW-13(580-125173-6),
MW-14(580-125173-7), MW-15(580-125173-8), MW-15-DUP(580-125173-9),Trip Blank(580-125173-10)and (CCVIS 580-421489/3).
Method 8260D:The continuing calibration verification (CCV)associated with batch 580-421489 recovered outside acceptance criteria, low
biased, for 1,2-Dibromo-3-Chloropropane. A reporting limit(RL)standard was analyzed, and the target analytes are detected. Since the
associated samples were non-detect for the analyte(s),the data are reported.
Method 8260D:The method blank for analytical batch 580-421489 contained Acetone above the method detection limit. This target analyte
concentration was less than half the reporting limit(1/2RL);therefore, re-extraction and re-analysis of samples was not performed.
Method 8260D:The matrix spike(MS)recoveries for analytical batch 580-421489 were outside control limits for one or more analytes.
Sample matrix interference and non-homogeneity are suspected because the associated laboratory control sample(LCS)recovery is
within acceptance limits.
No additional analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
VOA Prep
No analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described in the Definitions/Glossary page.
Eurofins Seattle
Page 4 of 37 3/30/2023
