v
ON
,a
FIELD REPORT
QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY MOSQUITO ABATEMENT DISTRICT '
LODI FACILITY
On December 5, 1991, ROY F, WESTON, INC. (WESTON) conducted a monitoring
program of three groundwater monitoring wells located at the San Joaquin County
Mosquito Abatement District (SJCMAD) facility at 200 North Beckman Road, Lodi,
California. This field work was conducted to meet the requests of the San Joaquin
County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD).
- On arrival at the site, measurements of standing water level were taken in all wells
utilizing an electronic well sounding device, Two of the wells, MW-2 and MW-3, were
dry. Calculations to determine the Mean Sea Level (MSL) elevation of groundwater in
MW-1 were made and the results are presented in Table A-1.
ley
TABLE A-1
WATER LEVEL ELEVATIONS
r DECEMBER 5, 1991
,r-
c- Well Location Well Elevation Depth to Water Water Elevation
(feet, MSL) (feet) (feet, MSL)
 w
e
MW-1 54.11 54.1 0.01
MW-2 54.28 Dry Dry
r=t MW-3 54.03 Dry Dry
t'4
Due to insufficient water in MW-2 and MW-3, only MW-1 was sampled during this
i monitoring period. Prior to collecting samples at MW-1, the total well depth was
!, measured. Using this measurement and the depth to water, the standing water volume
within the casing was calculated to determine the necessary purge volume.
t It was desired that a minimum of three well casing volumes be removed from each well
prior to sampling, but MW-1 was bailed dry after approximately one gallon (or 1 1/2
t well volumes) was removed from the well. The well was allowed to recover prior to
sample collection.
3F
tin
t9 Rp'tS5lCAlM.RP - OIf13N7 - _
5,n'
