Prior to each sampling event a complete round of water levels will <br /> be collected The well will be purged of three to five casing volumes with either a Teflon' <br /> bailer or a submersible pump prior to sampling During purging, the pH, temperature, and <br /> electrical conductivity of the groundwater will be measured The groundwater sample will be <br /> collected using a clean nylon line and Teflon'' bailer The groundwater sample will be placed <br /> in the appropriate sample container (see Section 3 3 1) Care will be taken to prevent air <br /> bubbles from forming in the 40 ml sample containers to be submitted for volatile analysis The <br /> sample will be sealed in a plastic bag and stored on ice at temperature of approximately 4°C for <br /> transport to the analytical laboratory A thermometer will be kept in the cooler with the <br /> samples <br /> 2.4 Analytical Methods <br /> Soil and groundwater samples will be analyzed with a two week turnaround time by a State of <br /> California certified analytical laboratory <br /> 2.4.1 Soil Analysis <br /> Soil samples will be analyzed for <br /> • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G, EPA M8015) <br /> • Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylenes (BTEX, EPA 8020) . <br /> L �&MoRIajceeL-p 4 <br />
