i <br /> 3.6 Sample Analysis <br />' The proposed analyses are the same as the analyses performed under the ongoing quarterly <br /> groundwater monitoring program The groundwater sample will be analyzed for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene (BTEX). <br /> Table 1 summarizes the analytical methods, sample containers, required preservatives, and <br /> required holding times <br /> TABLE 1 <br /> Analytical Methods <br /> Analytical Method Matrix Sample Preservatives Maximum <br />' Containers Holding Time <br /> TPH-G 3X 40 ml <br /> (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons) Groundwater VOA vials 4°C, HCL 14 days <br /> EPA Method 8015-Mod <br /> BTEX 3X 40 ml <br /> (benzene, toluene, xylene, & ethylbenzene) Groundwater VOA vials 4°C, HCL 14 days <br /> EPA Method 8020 <br />�• 3.9 Handling Monitoring Well Purge Water <br /> The purge water produced by the well sampling will be drummed, labeled, and stored onsite <br /> pending receipt of the analysis <br /> 4.0 SITE HEALTH AND SAFETY <br /> The well construction field work will be performed in accordance with an approved site specific <br /> WESTON Health and Safety Plan An OVA or an HNu instrument will be used to monitor air <br /> quality in the work area It is anticipated that the field work will be conducted in Level D <br /> personnel protection with the potential for upgrading to Level C should sustained above <br /> background levels of hydrocarbon vapors be detected with the air monitoring instrument The <br /> groundwater sampling will be performed under the existing WESTON Health and Safety Plan <br /> for quarterly groundwater monitoring <br /> 5.0 SCHEDULE <br />' Upon approval of this work plan by the EHD, field mobilization will require up to three weeks. <br /> It is anticipated that approximately one day will be required to install MW-4 and one day will <br />' be required to develop this well Groundwater sampling will be conducted at least one week <br /> after well construction and will be performed as part of the regularly scheduled quarterly <br /> . monitoring program, during the quarter in which the new well is constructed Analytical results <br />' will be available approximately three weeks after sample collection. <br /> MSIMCMMMK PLN 7 0"Im <br />
