y SECTION 4 SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS Sage has performed a soil investigation of the former CertainTeed Corporation property located at 300 South Beckman Road in Lodi,California. The soil investigation included performing four(4) direct-push borings from within or adjacent to site buildings, Two(2) sediment sample collections from two site sumps, and one (1)hand auger location from the onsite vacant field. The following sections describe the soil investigation activities.Figure 1 shows the site location and Figure 2 shows the approximate Sage sampling locations. Sage separated the results from the Phase II Investigation to differentiate the work necessary to close out the RECs or Other Concerns identified by ENVIRON from the work necessary to establish a baseline of the existing environmental conditions at the plant, although all of the Sage work constitutes the baseline. 4.1 RECs or Other Concerns Results of the soil and sediment samples collected for this Phase II Investigation indicate that no Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs),Herbicides,or Pesticides were detected in any of the soil or sediment samples collected at the Subject Property TPH DRO and TPH ORO were detected at low levels,but all detected concentrations were reported below regulatory limits. Based on the results of the Phase II investigation at the former CertainTeed Corporation property located at 300 South Beckman Road in Lodi, California, Sage has determined that the Other Concerns identified in the ENVIRON 2012 Phase I ESA(Long Industrial Use including potential use of chlorinated solvents and AST use) have not impacted the Site soil. Further, sediment sampled from the Subject Property sumps does not indicate that the Site's long industrial use has impacted the Site soil.
