Chih <br /> Rieno,.m Enterprises, Inc. <br /> 150 East Mesa Linda Drive <br /> Danville, California 94526 <br /> j DZ <br /> Comments on the Renown Ente=ises Work Plan <br /> Dear Jackson, <br /> The purpose of this letter is to discuss the California Department of <br /> Health Services' (CHs) comments on the Work Plan for Soil and Gtoundwater <br /> Contamination Assessment at the Renown Enterprises Property in Tracy, <br /> California as detailed in a letter dated September 27, 1988. As noted in the <br /> letter, these comments were verbally commzacated to Dames & Moore on August <br /> 11, 1988 in a telephone conversation between Mr. Bill Kilgore (DHS) and Dan <br /> Matthews. As discussed below, several steps were taken to address these <br /> comments. Mr. Kilgore indicated in a telephone conversation on September 30, <br /> 1988 that he did not include our verbal response to these comments in the <br /> letter because he did not want to misquote us. He added that although Our <br /> verbal response satisfied his ccnoerns, we would have to respond to his <br /> comments in writing. our reqmnse to the comments is detailed below. <br /> CM : "Meat method will be used to select samples to be analyzed <br /> for volatile and semi volatile organic compounds?" <br /> The samples su!3utted for these analyses were selected by the <br /> ons L <br /> le jL-jftj_catj_::�q-z- -:Jf el-7.rated c_,21. In <br /> .L.4r-ld anginser basad -..Lsib, <br /> soil samples collected from several locations and depths around the site. <br /> DM : "Please provide a site map showing actual locations at <br /> which soil samples were taken-" <br /> : A site map showing proposed soil sampling locations was <br /> telefaxed to Mr. Kilgore on August 22, 1988, prior to initiating field <br /> activities at the site. <br /> Dffi : 1"Ihe method to be used to analyze soil samples for <br /> polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) was not identified.
