"C" on Attachment No. 1 . <br /> Soil samples were collected at 5-foot intervals in each of the Z. <br /> boring locations. AEMC has retained these samples for future <br /> analysis, if necessary. Drilling and well logging information is <br /> provided in Attachment No. 7. <br /> On May 24 , 1985r AEMC collected water samples from each <br /> monitoring well at the surface and the 2 1/2 foot levels with a <br /> 1 1/2 inch Coliwasa-type sampler. Samples were delivered <br /> immediately to Eureka Laboratories for hydrocarbon analysis. <br /> Laboratory results (Attachment No. 8) indictated no hydrocarbons <br /> detected (< 0. 2ppm) in M. W. "A" , 4. 3 ppm hydrocarbons in M. W. <br /> and 135 ppm in M. W. "C" . <br /> The State Department of Health Services, Toxic Substances Control <br /> Division stated verbally to AEMC that soils contaminated with <br /> only crude oil product could be managed as a nonhazardous waste. <br /> On May 24 , 1985, AEMC sent a letter to Mr . Bill Quan of the <br /> Department requesting written verification of the above mentioned <br /> statement' <br /> AEMC would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter , as <br /> the required course of action will have a significant impact on <br /> Renown Enterprises' Please do not hesitate to call me if you <br /> need clarification of the information provided.
