(Geomatrix),
on behalf of Chevron Environmental Management Company (Chevron), that the semi-annual
groundwater monitoring and quarterly product removal be discontinued fcr the referenced
property.
Previously, Regional Water Board staff submitted written correspondence to Chevron, dated
21 November 2007, that once the groundwater monitoring wells associated with the site were
properly destroyed, a site specific Soil Management Plan, and deed restriction documentation
were provided, a No Further Action determination could be issued.
Consequently, since the monitoring wells would be destroyed, Geomatrix requested that the
groundwater monitoring and product removal scheduled for the end of the year be
discontinued so the well destruction activities could move forward.
Regional Water Board staff concurs that the groundwater monitoring and product removal may
be terminated to allow well destruction activities to move forward.
California Environmental Protection Agency
14 Recycled Puper
