Infurna <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, 3rd Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Subject: Permit Application for Soil Borings <br /> 990 Beechnut Avenue <br /> Tracy, California <br /> Dear Mr. Infurna: . <br /> Geomatrix Consultants, Inc. has prepared this permit application on behalf of Chevron <br /> Environmental Management Company (Chevron) for the installation of twelve soil borings at <br /> the above referenced property. The purpose of these soil borings is for collection of soil and <br /> grab groundwater samples for laboratory analyses, as requested by the California Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board—Central Valley Region (RWQCB). <br /> The soil borings will be located within the property at 990 Beechnut, Tracy, California. We <br /> anticipate installing a maximum of four soil borings for grab groundwater sampling. The soil <br /> borings will be advanced using the direct-push method and the grab groundwater samples will <br /> be collected from these boreholes using a temporary 1" O.D. Sch. 40 PVC well installed <br /> inside the Enviro-Core probe. After sampling,the boreholes will be grouted with bentonite- <br /> cement slurry from the bottom of the boreholes to the ground surface using a tremie pipe.
