The project
includes widening Benjamin Holt Drive to add a center left-turn lane, median and right-turn lane
at Pacific Avenue intersection and a storm drain line near the centerline of Ben Holt to enhance
the existing drainage system. Kleinfelder understands that the invert depth of this drain line will
be approximately 4'/Z feet below ground surface (bgs). Adjacent to the project is a Chevron
Gasoline station and a known area of contamination associated with former Lincoln Center dry
cleaning operations. Kleinfelder was requested to provide limited background review and Phase
II soil sampling, analyses, and reporting to address potential contaminants in shallow soil in the
area of excavation within the project ROW and specifically along the proposed storm drain
route.
Attached are the analytical results for soil samples collected within nine exploratory probes
advanced near the centerline of Benjamin Holt Drive in the Lincoln Center area (Site, Plate 1).
The soil samples were analyzed for various petroleum constituents and volatile organic
compounds (VOCs). This report presents a summary of our field activities, observations,
analytical results, conclusions and recommendations.
133385.4//ST013R0698 Page 1 of 12 January 7,2014
Copyright 2014 Kleinfelder
