Shell Service Station(WIC No.20475244404)
3011 West Benjamin Holt Drive,Stockton,Callfornla
2) Aegis personnel supervised the drilling and sampling of ten soil borings on site in
January 1990 (report to Shell dated April 13, 1990). The borings ranged in depth
from 11.5 to 21.5 feet below surface. Laboratory analysis of soil samples collected
from the borings did not indicate total petroleum hydrocarbons, as gasoline, or
benzene above the respective PQL.
The results of both the AGS and Aegis subsurface investigations indicate groundwater
beneath the site does not contain petroleum hydrocarbons. It is the opinion of Aegis that
additional investigation of soil and/or groundwater beneath the site is not warranted.
Based on the findings of the subsurface investigations conducted to date, Aegis, on
behalf of Shell, requests closure of the site.
We are resubmitting a copy of the April 13, 1990, report in the event it is not currently in
the SJCEHD project file. Please note, results of previous environmental activity at the site
is included in Appendix D of the report, including the September 16, 1988, AGS report.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 782-2110.
Sincerely,
AEGIS ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
David L. Poulsen
Project Geologist
DLP/law
cc: Dan Kirk, Shell Oil Company
E. Thayer, Central Valley Water Quality Control Board
09-046B.LTR -2-
