(7-Eleven), Stantec Consulting Corporation (Stantec) has prepared <br /> conducted at 7-Eleven Store #14113, located at 3040 West Benjamin Holt <br /> the following report describing the results of soil and groundwater assessment activities <br /> Drive, Stockton, <br /> California (Figures 1 and 2). <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> The purpose of the soil and groundwater assessment activities was to evaluate potential fuel <br /> hydrocarbon impact(s) to soil and groundwater from the operation of a former gasoline station at <br /> the site (operated by Exxon). Stantec's scope of work consisted of the following tasks: <br /> • Obtain soil boring permits from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (SJCEHD); <br /> • Prepare a site-specific health and safety plan for soil sampling; <br /> • Clearing four vertical boring locations using Underground Service Alert (USA) and a <br /> private utility locator; <br /> • Supervising the advancement of four vertical soil borings; <br /> • Collect soil and groundwater samples from four vertical borings; <br /> • Submit soil and groundwater samples for laboratory analysis; <br /> • Prepare a summary report documenting the soil and groundwater sampling activities <br /> and soil and groundwater sample analytical results. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS <br /> The site is located in a mixed residential and commercial zoned area immediately to the west of <br /> Interstate 5. The site is currently occupied by a 7-Eleven convenience store and associated <br /> parking and a municipal water tower at the southwest side in the asphalt paved parking lot.
