Benjamin Holt Drive),
Stockton, Site Code 1021
Dear Ms. Cotulla:
Enclosed is a groundwater contour map (Figure 1) of the above-referenced sites. This map
was requested by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (County) in a
February 11, 1992, letter.
On March 11, 1992,personnel from Brown and Caldwell Consultants(BCC)and Groundwater
Technology, Inc., met at the site and measured the depth to groundwater in each of the wells
at the two sites. The enclosed groundwater contour map was generated by BCC and is based
on the March 11 measurements.
Generally the groundwater flows to the east-northeast. The average hydraulic gradient over
the area is approximately 0.005. The gradient appears to be less around the ARCO site than
around the Chevron site. The operation of the groundwater extraction system at the ARCO
site is the probable cause of the gradient variation.
I
I
667ACORRESF6673-021A
JI
