Box 2009 - _a . __. - -- - —
Stockton CA 95201
LINCOLN VILLAGE WEST CHEVRON (CHEVRON), 2905 WEST BENJAMIN HOLT DRIVE,
STOCKTON - WORK PLAN FOR ADDITIONAL MONITORING WELL INSTALLATIONS
We have reviewed the June 1990 Work 'Plan for Additional Monitoring Well
Installations prepared for this site by -Groundwater Technology, Inc. ,
(GTI) . The proposed work plan includes the installation of two additional
monitoring wells for this' site.
Based on the reported levels of hydrocarbons in the existing monitoring
wells and the gradient of ground water flow at the site., we do not believe
that the proposed monitoring wells would be capable of adequately
determining the extent of hydrocarbon migration. Therefore, at least one
additional monitoring well will be -necessary. The additional well (s)
should be installed downgradient from monitoring wells 1 and 2 where
benzene levels were reported at 6400 parts per billion (ppb) and 4800 ppb
respectively.
I
To avoid further delays in completing this investigation, the additional
well (s) may be required as a condition of approval of the work plan rather
than requiring submittal of a new workplan.
If you have any questions, please callmeat (916).. 361-5731.
i
THOMAS D., PELTIER
Associate Engineering Geologist
TDP/tdp
