r
page 2, 2905 Ben Holt Drive
The Work Plan further proposes the installation of three groundwater extraction wells.
However, in conversation with SECOR on April 13, 2001 it was understood by
PHS/EHD that Chevron wishes to delay consideration of the need for extraction wells
until evaluation of the CPT and sentry well data is completed.
Following completion of the fieldwork and laboratory analyses, a report will be prepared
which will provide a site conceptual model, calculations for mass flux and mass
discharge, all data and data analysis, and findings and recommendations supporting the
need for further work.
A proposal was made to conduct monthly sampling of the Municipal Well No. 10 for a
period of six months to determine the reproducibility of the MtBE detections. PHS/EHD
discussed this proposal with the City of Stockton Public Works Department. The Public
Works personnel seemed receptive to the proposal and indicated that coordination of
that effort with SECOR was possible. It is the understanding of PHS/EHD that SECOR
is currently working on making the necessary arrangements for the next sampling event.
The Work Plan as outlined above is approved. Please proceed with submittal of a well
permit application and required $89.00 permit fee for each parcel of land on which
drilling will occur, as well as all necessary encroachment permits and/or access
agreements from off-site property owners. The report of findings must be submitted to
PHS/EHD within 60 days following completion of the fieldwork.
If you have any questions or comments call Lori Duncan at (209)468-0337.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Loi'k Gt Lvnct
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Dot Lofstrom, RG
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV
cc: Marty Hartzell, CVRWQCB
Scott Gable, SECOR
