(Blaine Tech),to describe the results of groundwater monitoring that was
performed at the subject site on September 24, 1996.
In-Septeinber,.Blaine Tech gauged and sampled all nine site-related wells. All groundwater samples were
analyzed for the presence of TPHGas,BTEX constituents;and MTBE . The measured direction of
groundwater flow was toward the east-northeast. This was consistent with previous flow direction
measurements. Dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were:detected,at all wells except,MW-7. In general,
the measured concentrations were consistent with.those detected previously at the subject site.However,.a,
significant increase in TPHGas,BTEX,and MTBE was measured at well MW-9. Subsequent results
acquired from this well will be evaluated to confirm any developing trend. There was MTBE detected at
all site wells except,MW-3 and MW-7. The measured levels were consistent with those detected during
the previous site monitoring event.
If you have any questions or comments,I can be reached at(510)842-8695.
Sinnccerely,
Brett E.Hunter
Environmental Engineer
Site Assessment and Remediation
Attachment
CC' Elizabeth Thayer, Central Valley RWQCB,.Sacramento, CA
Kyle Cluistie,ARCO Products Co.,2155 South Bascom Ave., Ste. 202,.Campbell, CA 95008
Steve Misner,Brown and Caldwell, 9616 Micron Ave., Suite. 600, Sacramento, CA 95827
Kent O'Brien, Geraghty&Miller, 1050 Marina Way South,Richmond., CA 94804
k 1t?c;y)rat3le
