This letter describes our drum disposal plan.
All excavated soil will be stored in 17H Department of Transportation approved steel drums.
A composite sample from the excavated soil will be taken, placed in a clean glass jar with a
Teflon'°'lined lid,and stored in a cooler with blue ice to keep the sample at 4°C or cooler. The
sample will then be transported to a California State certified Hazardous Waste Laboratory for
testing, using EPA med-ods 8015 modified and 8020. Chain of Custody protocol will be
followed throughout.
The drums will remain impounded on-site until laboratory results are obtained. At that time,
based on laboratory results, the drums will be disposed of at a facility licensed to handle this
waste in a proper manner.
If you have any questions, please call Fred Langsto or Gerald Facino at"(213) 495-4449.
Fred Langton acino'
Senior Proj tGeologist anager of Business Development
cc: San Joaquin Public Health S ice, Environmental Health Divison
_ •_ tuKstay.dhcusv.aprojalkEcvrocl - - - -
r,
1
