Betwe&n boreholes, <br /> hole equipment will be cleaned using a pressure washer. Rinsate <br /> from this decontamination will be placed in 55-gallon steel drums <br /> is <br /> and stockpiled on site. All wastes generated during th <br /> assessment will be disposed of in an appropriate, legal manner <br /> after laboratory analyses have determined if the waste must be <br /> treated as a hazardous material. <br /> Selected soil samples will be laboratory analyzed for the <br /> presence of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) , <br /> hydrocarbons (TPH)-as-gasoline using <br /> and for total petroleum <br /> tion Agency (EPA) Methods <br /> modi-' ied U.S. Environmental Protec <br /> 5030/8020/8015. At least one soil sample from each borehole will <br /> be analyzed. if field observations and/or PID readings indicate <br /> sible adsorbed hydrocarbons in the encountered soils, <br /> pos <br /> additional sanples may be analyzed. <br /> Soil samples from above and be.iow the water table may be <br /> Such testing c ould include grain <br /> collected for physical testing. <br /> size analyses, permeability, and/or porosity.
