At the time of receipt of samples by the laboratory, the <br /> shipping container will bs inspected and the scaling <br /> - aignatura will be chocked, the samples will be inspected for <br /> condition and bubbles and the tai2parature of a representa- <br /> tive sample container will be measured externallt by a <br /> thermocouple probe (hold tightly between two samplan) and <br /> recorded. The laboratory QC numbers will be placed on the <br /> labels, in the accession leg. and on the chain-of-custody <br /> form. ZZ samples are acidified their pH will be zassured by <br /> narrow range pH paper at the time of opening for analysis. <br /> All comments concerning procedures recr .tring handling of the <br /> samples will be dated aril initialed an the form by the <br /> laboratory person performing the procedure.
